Knights and Ladies,

“This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
John 15:8

By our fruit people will know we are Christ's disciples. Out of our utter dependence on the grace of God for salvation and a growing love for Jesus Christ grows a personal transformation that results in righteousness and works of love that are evident to those around us. All for the glory of God!

“Just as good fruit does not make the tree good; the tree is first good, and therefore it brings forth good fruit; but shows it to be good: as by continuing in his word, abiding by his Gospel they appeared to be 'disciples indeed,' John 8:31, really and truly such; and as by loving one another, so by other fruits of righteousness, other men, all men know that they are the disciples of Christ.”
(John Gill's Exposition of the Bible)

“Fruit should be the proof. . . That which is looked for is the glorifying the Father by fruit-bearing. It is this which will shew that they are the disciples of Him who has borne so much. . . They were to abide in Him, which is realised by not thinking to produce any fruit except as in Him, looking to Him first. Christ precedes fruit. It is dependence, practical habitual nearness of heart to Him, and trust in Him, being attached to Him through dependence on Him.”
(John Darby's Synopsis of the Bible)

Accept the challenge, take the quest!

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

A prayer for the use of Holy Scripture:

O Gracious God and most merciful Father, who has granted us the rich and precious jewel of Your holy word, assist us with Your Spirit, that it may be written in our hearts to our everlasting comfort, to reform us, to renew us according to Your own Image, to build us up, and to instruct us into the perfect building of Christlikeness, sanctifying and increasing in us all heavenly virtues. Grant this, O heavenly Father, for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.
(adapted from the “1599 Geneva Bible” Tolle Lege Press, 2006-2007)

To the Bible Challenge participants,

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Galatians 1:3-5) Amen!

The Bible Challenge!

The Bible Challenge is a yearly Quest, from Easter to Easter, through the word of God! Will you give God 15 to 30 minutes of your day to read, study, and meditate on His Word? Will you take the challenge?

"We confess that we have come to the end of ourselves and are in a desperate condition. Having examined the trends in our culture, Church and especially among the young, we are grieved. We consider catastrophic a future without The Spirit's extraordinary intervention. At the same time, we are encouraged by testimonies from The Scriptures, American history and current evidences of an impending great work of grace. Historic opportunities lie before us. For these reasons, we invite followers of Christ in every corner of our land, of every race and denominational background, to unite in common pursuits to see God glorified, His Church revived and our nation transformed by an awakening to the Supremacy of our Lord Jesus Christ."

- Awakening America Leadership Summit, Northampton, Massachusetts, 2008
1) Acknowledge the authority of Scripture
2) Acknowledge the need for Spiritual rebirth
3) Acknowledge the need for personal repentance and renewed faith in Christ

We, the Church, must act quickly and become the salt that stings the moral wounds and flavors the grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As he said in Matthew chapter 5 verse 13 :

“‘You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.’"

“. . . the foundations of our National policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality . . . we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained.”
- George Washington, 1789
