Special Prayer Alert

Fast and Pray for Peoria!

(Replace Peoria with your hometown if needed!)

From Richwoods Christian Church:

Crime and violence have been making the headlines in our community. Church leaders have gathered and asked our community to personally make Wednesday, May 2 a day of fasting and prayer. We encourage you to take time for prayer on Wednesday, remembering our community and its leaders. If you desire a quiet place to focus and pray on Wednesday, our worship center will be available during normal business hours. In addition, the City of Refuge will have a community service on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. where all are welcome.
Heavenly Father, I pray that Your Kingdom would shine in our community. Lord, I ask for your blessings and saving grace on Peoria and the Peoria area today. Help your church save those that do not know you and turn the people from violence and hatred to love and forgiveness.

Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
let those who love Your salvation
continually say, "God is great!"
Peoria is afflicted and needy;
hurry to us, God.
You are our help and our deliverer;
LORD, do not delay. (Psalm70:4-5, amended)

In Jesus Christ's name I pray - Amen.
