My blogging started as a way for one voice to shout about the injustices in America and the world.
It has quickly moved to a Kingdom focus (seek first the Kingdom of God); to glorify God, to blog my personal faith journey (spiritual growth and transformation), help others in theirs (discipleship), and to continue to address issues of injustice.

In 2006 I joined Chaplain Fellowship Ministries to become a licensed Chaplain so that I could hold a legal ordination for the purpose of family ministry. In April of 2007 I married my brother Gabe and his lovely bride Heather, and I have plans to perform a vow renewal for my parents in the future. Families are the most fundamental units in any society, and I will continue to develop my family Chaplain ministry and blog about family issues.

The process of obtaining the Chaplain license helped me to develop better mission and purpose statements for the Romans 15:4 Project blog.

A blog is a living and interactive journal. I am challenged to comment on tough issues that don’t always have answers. I do so as I wrestle to understand them, and hope that it will help you do the same. I encourage and look forward to civil dialogue. I have had some great conversations with self described existentialists, nihilists, and pro-abortionists as well as fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray God uses these conversations and sometimes difficult topics to reach people with His message of love, salvation, and eternal life in Jesus Christ.
There are over 40 subscribers to alerts and weekly updates, over 10 participants in the 2007 Bible Challenge, several Prayer Team members, and a daily average of over 30 visitors to the blog. Praise God! Thank you for your participation. The internet and blogs are no substitute for becoming a member of a local church and living in community with fellow believers. I pray that everyone that visits here becomes surrendered to Christ and joins a local church to live in a community of believers.
Although I have adopted a formal mission and vision as a blogging guideline, the blog is my Biblically based opinion on all things; political, social, cultural, spiritual, etc. . . All based on my developing Biblical worldview. As the Apostle Paul explains, everything in Scripture is there to teach us and give us hope, "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." Romans 15:4
There is also the technical purpose of blogging to consider. The advancement of ministry and Kingdom focused websites. By blogging about and linking to other Christian ministry sites, they are given higher search engine rankings. One of my hopes and prayers is that when someone does an internet search for topics like Jesus or abortion that the top ten websites listed in search engine results would Christian based!
