Romans 15:4 Project 2007 Vision

The battle lines are being drawn.

The price of gas is more important than the agenda to push pornography and sexual indoctrination in public schools. Children are seen as economic burdens, not blessings from God. The absolute Truth of God is seen as intolerant and hateful. All the while authorities and media defend the murderous atrocities of Islam. Our local neighborhoods are being turned over to thugs and drug dealers, and there is a growing population of people that have become dependent on the government for their wellbeing.

“[Tom Tancredo, U. S. Congressman] warns the country is on a course to the dustbin of history. Like the great and mighty empires of the past, he writes, superpowers that once stretched from horizon to horizon, America is heading down the road to ruin” (WND).

We can take a stand against the absolute intolerance of Islam and the absolute depravity of liberalism, socialism and communism.

Our founders understood that the government does not give us our freedom. Our freedom ultimately comes from God, and our government was established to secure that God-given freedom.

This is the Romans 15:4 Project vision for the year of our Lord 2007:
- to take a stand against the fascist intolerance of Islam
- to take a stand against the liberal depravity of multiculturalism and socialism
- to take a stand against the devaluing of the family unit
- to take a stand against the normalization of sexual depravity
- to fight for absolute ethical standards and the equal value of all human life
- to encourage the warrior ethos and virtues among our citizenry
- to uphold Scriptural purity and unity of the Saints to glorify God
- and to do all of the above with love and the good news of Jesus Christ

Asked whether the men of Lexington would fight, Clark didn't waffle or hesitate with cowardly excuses about mixing politics with religion. FCA Year End Update 2006

As you know, my family and I support our local Fellowship of Christian Athletes ministry. I wanted to take a moment to pass along Cole’s year end update. God is working through this ministry to strengthen and build His kingdom in our community!

With the year coming to a close, I would like to give “glory to God in the highest” for His abundant blessings in the Greater Peoria Area of FCA.

Within the last few months, 4 new campus ministries, and 1 new coaches huddle have been added. The added campus ministries are at Pekin H.S., Lewistown H.S., Manual H.S., and Bradley University. 20 coaches attended the first Coaches Huddle Meeting at Peoria Christian Schools. This huddle is open to all coaches from around the area. We now have 2 coaches huddles meeting each week in the area. Preparation is also underway to put on a Coaches Breakfast at the Class A Boys Basketball State Tournament in March, as well as the annual FCA Banquet in the spring.

I ask that you please pray now, in praise for all of the added ministry, for the Lord to bless the preparation of events, and the undergoing of the new campus ministries and coaches huddles.

Weekly ReCap - 12-22-2006

A slow week. I will try and take a break next week as well. The first couple weeks of 2007 will be review and planning for the coming year.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. Family Life

A wise woman used to tell me, “Friends come and go, but family is forever.” Thanks, Mom!

Besides faith in God, what is the number one priority for most people? For me and most people I know its family!

So I'd like to take a minute to tell you about a ministry that has been a wonderful resource for my family, FamilyLife Ministries.

The FamilyLife Weekend to Remember conference was so good that my wife and I agreed to make it an annual event. This is a conference for couples considering marriage, newly married, struggling in marriage, or happily married for many years.

Mid-Week Devotional - Romans 11:1-36

Read: Romans 11:1-36

Scripture

Romans 11:32

“For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.” (NIV)

“For God has imprisoned all in disobedience, so that He may have mercy on all.” (HCSB)


Observation

All people, Jew and non-Jew alike, have sinned against God, and God chooses to have mercy on all people that turn to Him. God has not rejected His people, the Jews (11:28-29). He used their disobedience to extend mercy to all the non-Jews (11:1-10, 30).


Application

Good news!! All people can receive God’s mercy thanks to His mysterious plan (11:25)!!

Important to remember today, in our current conflict against terror, and the struggle for Israel in the middle east, that God has not rejected His people, Israel! We should pray for and support them because God will redeem them and keep His covenant (11:25-27).


Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your mysterious plan that included salvation and mercy for me, a gentile. I pray for your people, Israel. I pray for peace and mercy. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray – Amen.

When Life Has No Value

No Ethical Clarity + Love of Money – God = Harvesting babies for stem cells!

Sounds like something out of a horror movie doesn’t it? Unfortunately, it looks like it is true!

“There is a trade in stem cells from aborted foetuses, amid unproven claims they can help fight many diseases. But now there are claims that stem cells are also being harvested from live babies [which must be killed in the process!]” (Hill).

That is why I fight so hard for absolute ethical standards in America! Pro-Abortionists do not understand the Pandora ’s Box of ethical relativism they have opened! God forgive us.
Mothers who gave birth at certain Ukranian hospitals admitted that they delivered a live baby which was immediately whisked away by hospital staff. When asked about the babies, hospital staff would not answer and the hospitals in question have denied the allegations. . .

As reported previously by LifeSiteNews, Ukranian women have been paid USD$180 per fetus that can be used for harvesting stem-cells for, among other things, beauty treatments in Russia. Because mature fetuses are more ‘useful’, these women are convinced by their doctors that there is medical reason to wait until after 12 weeks gestation to have an abortion. (Jalsevac)

How much money is your soul worth? How much money would it take to get you to kill a baby? Is there really any dollar amount to be placed on a human life?

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,"

Thank God that our American Founding Fathers, the framers of this great nation, did not place human value in the hands of men or governments, but in God our Creator.

Do not give away your God given value to the whims of men, the folly of governments, or the grandeur of intellectuals. Man was created in the image and likeness of God. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27). Man alone was created with this distinction, and man alone was given the charge to rule over the earth (Genesis 1:26).

We are “God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance” for us (Ephesians 2:10). Man has a purpose. Man has a God that loves him. Man fractured the image, but God so loved man that he sent His Son to be our Savior, restoring our fractured image while we wait for His return and our return to a perfected image (Romans 3:21-26).

God forgive us. I pray, Lord, that you awaken the Saints in America to fight for the value of life and to fight for those who can’t defend themselves. Thank you, God, for your Son, Jesus Christ, who died that we might live! His life, death, and resurrection are a testimony to our value in Your eyes. Thank You!

Mexican Drug Dealer has more rights than U. S. Border Patrol Agents!

When will America once again hold a firm hand against criminals?

Two U.S. Border Patrol Agents, have been found guilty, and now face prison terms of upwards of 20 years for doing their jobs -- apprehending an illegal alien at our border!

Why Protest the Use of the Koran?

This is why I think we should protest the use of the Koran for the swearing in of American Senator Ellison.

First, many Islamic nation states, tribes, or otherwise, want nothing less than the extermination of Jews! And this week Iranian President, Ahmadinejad, said that the destruction of America would happen very soon. “The French press quotes Iranian leader Ahmadinejad today [12/7/2006] as saying, ‘Western leaders must follow the path of god or vanish from the face of the earth.’ Ahmadinejad is also bragging he'll have nukes by March” (O’Reilly).

Second, “MOGADISHU, Somalia — Residents of a southern Somalia town who do not pray five times a day will be beheaded, an official said Wednesday, adding the edict will be implemented in three days.” (FoxNews)

And just in case that isn’t enough, a Christian woman in Pakistan “was attacked by extremist Muslims, beaten, and stripped naked in public before being thrown into a jail cell” for simply speaking out against the hateful chanting and desecration of a Cross by Muslims (Swank).

And as Don Feder says, “It all goes back to the Koran.” (emphasis added)

These are the principles that spring, rightly or wrongly, from the Koran. Do we want those principles given authority, even if only symbolically, in America? America was founded on the personal human dignity and value found in the Christian Bible. Your American freedoms come from this source, and I thank God for that!

Mid-Week Devotional - Romans 9:30-10:21

Scripture

Romans 10:9

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (NIV)

Observation

The Israelites, God’s people, stumbled on the Law that was given to them for righteousness (10:1-3). Paul states the matter plainly; confession of Christ as Lord and faith that He is our resurrected Savior is all that is needed for salvation. And our belief leads us to righteousness (10:10). The gift of eternal life is for everyone (10:11-13).


Application

Do you think you are a good person? By who’s standard?

God’s people, the Israelites, had God’s law, God’s standard, written out for them and they still missed the mark!

We can’t do it on our own. But we have good news! God provided a way for us! Faith in Jesus Christ!

Have faith.


Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for saving me. Thank you for providing a way for all to be saved. Thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ. In His name I pray – Amen.

Science Points to God!

’I believe that by doing science, we find God,’ said Strobel” (Kwon).

Are the tides turning? I sure hope so. I’ve reasoned [here] before that it takes more faith to believe in a purposeless universe and evolution than God our Creator. How bleak an atheist’s existence is.

Presenting clear scientific evidence that Christians had largely been without, Strobel's ‘Case for a Creator’ revealed a complex universe that many scientists could now only explain with the existence of some kind of intelligence” (Kwon).

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20)

The heavens were made by the word of the LORD,
and all the stars, by the breath of His mouth.

He gathers the waters of the sea into a heap;
He puts the depths into storehouses.

Let the whole earth tremble before the LORD;
let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

For He spoke, and it came into being;
He commanded, and it came into existence. (Psalm 33:6-9 HCSB)

It seems archeology keeps confirming the Biblical account as well, “According to the team led by Yitzhak Magen and Yevgeny Aharonovitch, the church dates to the late 4th century, making it one of Christianity's first formal places of worship” (Donovan).
