Chicago's Public Schools Playboy S-xEd Program?

I’ve held my tongue on this story for a little while thinking it just couldn’t possibly be true. I was wrong.

Chicago Board of Education mandates “comprehensive” sex ed program.
Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health holds fundraiser at Playboy Enterprises (last year’s event was at a Chicago erotic art museum).

What is going on? What are people thinking? How long before it moves downstate?

What a spiral of deviancy we have fallen into. We keep lowering morality standards under the war cry of “fixing symptoms” of lowered morality standards. Got news for ya, it’s not going to work.

This isn’t new. Heck, they were having the same problems in Rome thousands of years ago (Romans 1 below). It’s just too bad we haven’t learned anything from the past. You would think that after being enlightened, modernized, and post-modernized we would begin to learn from our mistakes. Nope. Stupid thick necked people! I pray, Heavenly Father, that your people in America will take a stand so that we do not fall as Rome fell.

“Many have lauded the recent decision of the Chicago Board of Education mandating all sixth- through 12th-graders to take an annual ‘comprehensive’ sex education course. The course will supposedly emphasize abstinence while also focusing on contraception. But reasonable people can't help but question the decision in light of the fundraiser held June 8 at Playboy Enterprises to benefit the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health. ICAH worked closely recently with Planned Parenthood to lobby the board of education and took credit for the board's passage of this sex ed policy. Their major fundraiser featured Christie Hefner and was also funded by the Playboy Foundation. Last year's fundraiser was held at a Chicago erotic art museum.Even those with no faith tradition are forced to wonder: ‘Is this really an appropriate organization to shape the minds and hearts of young people on sexuality issues?’” (Kurey)

Please Take Action Today!
Follow this link and follow the take action instructions!

It wouldn’t be a bad idea to call the school board where your children go to school and make sure they know you will not allow this type of sexuality indoctrination in your schools (if it isn’t already!).

The National Education Association (NEA), long known to be a leftist organization, is now putting their endorsement of sexually deviant relationships in writing. More details:

The cold hard facts:
1. sexual education of children is a parental responsibility and right not to be undermined by the State!
2. sex education is very simple: A) sex produces babies, if you don't want a baby don't have sex; B) sex can cause life crippling diseases and even death, if you don’t want a disease then don’t have sex; C) having sex is a choice, and with any choice comes responsibility for the consequences!

20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness
(Romans 1:20-29)

Are we going the way of the Romans?

Faith in Jesus or Faith in the World?

“Duncan believes Christianity as a whole is at a point where it must decide whether to adhere to scripture or accommodate the culture” (Jackson).

Pretty much a no-brainer isn’t it?

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)

We have two choices: Follow God or Follow the World. There is no Follow the world but pay lip service to God choice. How offensive it must be to our Savior’s ears! Drop the divisiveness and hold to scripture. If we follow Christ, then we do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, for we do not belong to this world!

North American Union?

It makes sense now. Could it be the reason why American citizens patrolling the U. S. border with Mexico were ratted out to the Mexican government? Could it be the reason why a sovereign United States of America must get permission from the Mexican government before building a border fence?

Could it be that President Bush is leading us into a North American Union with Canada and Mexico? Makes sense now why the President doesn’t feel obligated to uphold immigration laws and close the border!

“Responding to a WorldNetDaily report, Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., is demanding the Bush administration fully disclose the activities of an office implementing a trilateral agreement with Mexico and Canada that apparently could lead to a North American union, despite having no authorization from Congress . . . ‘It's time [for] the Bush administration to come clean,’ Gilchrist told WND. ‘If President Bush's agenda is to establish a new North American union government to supersede the sovereignty of the United States, then the president has an obligation to tell this to the American people directly. The American public has a right to know.’” (WND).

Since when has it been so easy to sell the liberty of the American people to a foreign nation? At a time in history when America is falling in on itself, we need our national identity and sovereignty more than ever!

“Through this Partnership, we will ensure that North America remains the most economically dynamic region of the world and a secure home for our people in this and future generations” (SPP).

Ensure the most economically dynamic region for whom? Mexico? Ensure a secure home for whom? Mexico? Why are we giving up our sovereignty and national identity for the good of Mexico? I’m all about helping Mexico, but not at the expense of our American freedoms and liberty!

This is a very serious issue that needs to become transparent to the American people immediately!

Alan Burkhart predicts that “As time passes, American corporations will find it unnecessary to move their facilities out of the country. Our already stagnant wages will be just as low as those of Mexico. The cultures of three great nations will be diluted. Our currency will be replaced with the “Amero.” And, we’ll be one giant step closer to the U.N.’s perverse dream of a one-world government” (Burkhart).

His advice, “We must break away from NAFTA, and end our membership in the United Nations,” I couldn’t agree more. We have to tell our elected officials that they answer to us, We the People of the United States of America, not corporate or foreign interests.

Call your congressman and senators today and demand that they uphold the constitutional sovereignty of The United States of America, demand that they charge an investigation into the motives behind these unprecedented events. I’ve sent my letter, have you?

Flag Day - June 14 2006

The Star Spangled Banner
By Francis Scott Key, 1814

O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming!
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there:
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, now conceals, now discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the Heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Dead Faith

By Coach Dave Daubenmire Posted: 06/07/2006
Reprinted with permission.

James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Do you consider work a bad thing? Isn’t it something we all do to “earn a living”? If you were recruited and trained by a CEO wouldn’t you be expected to do something to earn your reward?

Why then, is work such a bad word in relationship to our faith? Can you imagine telling your boss that you don’t have to produce anything because you have been hired “by grace”? Grace got you hired alright, but you have to work if you want to be paid.

Spiritual welfare, living off of the efforts of others. That is how most Christians live out their faith. Church is the one place you can be a member and never have to do anything. It is sort of like a Greyhound bus. Get your ticket to Heaven, and “leave the driving to us.”

It is by grace Coach that you get to Heaven. It is a free gift. You don’t have to earn your salvation. Jesus purchased you at the cross.” They tell me.

Ok. So, why did Jesus purchase me? If it is all about getting to Heaven, why did He leave me here? Why doesn’t He take me now and set me on His trophy case?

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" Ephesians 2:8-10. Created for good works? Hmmm.

James 2:17-18 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. .

What does faith look like? It must be possible for us to see it, or Paul would not have asked us to “show” him our faith. We all have faith (Romans 12:3), but is yours dead or alive?

I’m not talking about salvation. That is a free gift, one you cannot earn. No my friends, we’re talking about faith. Salvation is not faith. It is the fruit of faith. Confessing with your mouth, believing in your heart brings salvation. Actions are the evidence of faith.

Works are an outward expression of what you believe. We will be saved by grace, but judged by our works. You do have works, you know? The question is, will your works endure?

"If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved yet so as through fire”
1 Cor. 3:11-15. Receive a reward? Hmmmm. I thought it was by grace?

I smell smoke.

"And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged, each one according to his works” Rev. 20:12-13. Judged by works? You gotta be kidding?

I was wondering the other day what Heaven will be like. Will my dog be there? Will I actually see my Dad? Will Peter really be standing at the gates? Are there Gates?

Will there really be a crowd of witnesses there? (Hebrews 12:1) If so, witnesses to what? Witnesses testify. What will the witnesses testify about? Could it be works?

I love to get together with some of my friends and tell stories. Each guy brings his own story, his own perspective on what he witnessed. Reminiscing is fun and it solidifies a group’s special bond.

Imagine you’re in Heaven sitting around a campfire (probably where the works are being burned) and you notice a familiar face reflecting the light of the dancing flames.

Hey! Aren’t you Moses?” you ask the majestic looking man, as he nods his head. “Man, tell me your story. What was it like to see God part the Red Sea? Weren’t you scared of the chariots? What about all of the people grumbling in the desert? How did you put up it? And the frogs...and locusts… What did the death angel sound like as it passed over? Wow, Moses. I got to hear your story.”

And You. Aren’t you David? What was it like to kill Goliath? Where did you learn to use a slingshot? How did it feel to cut off that dude’s head? Did you really kill a lion and a bear with your bare hands?

Samson? Oh my goodness! What was it like to pull those pillars down? Was Delilah really that beautiful? How could you let her trick you like that?

Daniel…Oh Daniel. Man you had guts. What made you open the window and defy the authorities? How did it feel to walk down the runway to the lions den? Were you scared? Did you really sleep like a baby? Tell me at least that you kept one eye open!

We will hear the stories of God’s heroes. Saints known, admired, and made famous by their works.

For centuries we will sit around and listen to the tales, the stories of the great men of faith, testified to by the crowd of witnesses that are present. Your heart will leap out of your chest as the stories of courage, conviction, and self-sacrifice are re-lived.

And then all eyes will turn to you. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, will be there. Stephen, the nameless Saints of Hebrews 11, and those martyred for their stand for Christ will all look your way.

So, tell us your story. What did you do when you were on earth? If we remember right you were there at one of the most cataclysmic times in history. Mothers were killing their unborn children, homosexuals were demanding to be married, they were teaching God’s children lies in school, and they were even attempting to remove the mention of the name of God from the nation? What did your faith cost you? What works did you perform for Christ?

You’ll embarrassingly respond, as the eyes of the martyrs burn in on you. Well, let me see. I gave to missions, paid my tithe, served as an usher, and gave to the building fund. You see, when I was on earth, we were all waiting to be rescued by the rapture, and we weren’t much interested in fighting. We were taught that the end was near and that there wasn’t anything we could do about it. Plus, we had a government that didn’t allow us to mix religion with work (that will surely cause Daniel to perk-up). Much of our time was spent reading books about living a better life, our pastor suggested them, and we were learning to be more accepting and diverse. Besides, we had so much more to lose than you all did…we had houses, and cars, and IRA’s, and vacations, and our reputations….and our children….

Allow me to be frank. Someday they are going to dig a hole, put you in a box, and cover you with dirt. Your big house, nice cars, reputation and worldly riches will be left behind. All that will endure is what you did for Christ.

Hebrews 11 is the Faith Hall of Fame. It is a litany of men and women remembered not for what the said or believed, but for what they did.

Isn’t it interesting that in our churches today we are encouraged to “share our faith”. Paul said to “SHOW” it.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Want to glorify God? Show me your works.

John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

It’s getting darker and darker. It’s time to get to work.

Where is Senator Durbin?

You have failed America's families, Senator Durbin!

Email Reply from Illinois Senator Durbin in regards to a message I sent urging him to support the Federal Marriage Amendment.
June 6, 2006
Dear Mr. Dobra:

Thank you for your message about same-sex marriage. I appreciate hearing from you.
My message was not about same-sex marriage, it was about supporting a Federal Marriage Amendment to protect the law (will) of the people from activist judges, and about where other nations are heading after legalizing same-sex marriage (legal pedophilia and bestiality)!

I voted for the Defense of Marriage Act, which was signed into law by President Clinton in 1996. That law limited the federal definition of marriage to a legal union between one man and one woman for the purpose of federal laws and benefits, and also included a provision that allows states to decline to recognize gay marriages performed in other states.
You voted for a meaningless law for political puffery. Very noble.

Decisions about the legal status of marriage historically rest with state and local authorities, and the laws of the states regarding marriage, divorce, adoption, and other family matters vary widely. I do not support a Constitutional amendment either recognizing or prohibiting same-sex
marriages as a national standard. While I do not support same-sex marriage, the Constitution has been amended only 17 times since the adoption of the Bill of Rights, and this issue does not rise to the level of constitutional necessity.
The law (will) of the people in the states is being usurped by activist judges. Therefore, this issue does rise to the level of constitutional necessity, dear Senator! Show your true face, do you support the institute of marriage between one man and one woman? Let your actions confirm your answer, dear Senator.

At the same time, I want to be clear that I oppose discrimination based on a person's sexual orientation, race, religion, age, gender, disability, color, or national origin. In the 108th Congress I cosponsored the Employment Non Discrimination Act (ENDA), which was designed to prohibit employment discrimination based on sexual orientation. In addition, I am a cosponsor of the hate crimes bill, which would amend the federal criminal code to establish or strengthen penalties for people who intentionally cause bodily injury to another person because of actual or perceived sexual orientation, disability, national origin, race, color, religion, or gender.
Yes, Senator Durbin, you have given special privileges and protections to those who choose specific sexual lifestyles. You are a true hero. But let me educate you. Protecting the institution of marriage, an institute of only a few thousand years, does not automatically imply a discrimination against homosexuals. Just to clarify, taking a stand to preserve marriage as between one man and one woman and preventing homosexual indoctrination in public schools is not an unwarranted attack against homosexuals, it is a defense against the attack on families and Christian values. Pols show that the vast majority of homosexuals would not even consider marrying. Again, which face are we talking to? Do you support same sex marriage or marriage as between one man and one woman? Let your actions confirm your answer, senator Durbin!

I appreciate knowing your thoughts about the issue of same-sex marriage and will keep your concerns in mind as this issue is considered further.
I have written you on this issue before with different details and questions, Senator Durbin, and received the exact same letter in response. I don't think you even read your constituents correspondence, let alone appreciate it. But then I suppose your agenda is more important than the peoples.

Thank you again for contacting me. Please feel free to keep in touch.
No, thank you Senator Durbin for being so unclear in your position as to elevate yourself above the fray.

Richard J. Durbin
United States Senator

More Evidence of the Relative Morality Slippery Slope

Not long ago I predicted that if we didn’t draw a moral line in the sand, then we wouldn’t have to worry about pedophilia because it would be legal. This is proving to be closer than even I could have thought by the example set in the Netherlands:

The Charity, Freedom and Diversity Party has been formed and officially registered. Its platform? Cutting the legal age for sexual relations to 12 from 16, the legalization of child pornography and sex with animals. Eventually, the party makes clear, it wants to eliminate all age-of-consent laws, not out of any desire to prey upon children, you understand, but only because ''a ban just makes children curious,'' explains Ad van den Berg, one of the party's founders. They have the best interests of children in mind, you see. If you are to believe the party's propaganda, members actually want to reduce the number of adult-child sexual relationships by taking the mystique out of them. ''We want to get into Parliament so we have a voice,'' van den Berg says. ''Other politicians only talk about us in a negative sense, as if we were criminals.'' (Farah)

Strange days in deed! Do you have your line drawn, or have you bought into the Humanist view of relative morality and man made truth?

We all know in our hearts that there is absolute truth and morality. We know it’s wrong to lie, steal, and murder. We know it! We do it any way, but we know it’s wrong.

“(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)”
Romans 2:14-15

Farah goes on to say:

Freedom – real liberty, the kind borne of personal responsibility and accountability to a power higher than government force – cannot be merely ''conserved.'' It cannot be merely defended. When you are in the position of conserving and defending freedom, you are in the position of losing it – slowly but surely.

Good people have to take a stand! Call your senators today and tell them to pass the Federal Marriage Protection Amendment! Then call your Illinois state senators and tell them you want a state constitutional amendment!
